BREAKING: Kano On Fire, Gov. Ganduje On The Run, As Police Arrests Deputy Gov., Others, Blocks Heavy Rigging

Kano State Deputy Governor, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, and the Commissioner for Local Government, Mutari Sule Garo, have been arrested, for trying to disrupt the collation of results in the State.

They were arrested in the early hours of Monday.

The Deputy Governor, alongside his Aide De Camp, the Local Government Chairman, Lamin Sani, were apprehended by the Police, at the INEC Collation Centre, at Nassarawa Local Council, for allegedly destroying result sheets.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the arrest.

He said that the suspects have been detained at the Police Headquarters, in Bompai, Kano.

It was gathered that the two arrested men were saved from being manhandled by supporters of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Candidate, at the Collation Centre.

The incident which took place at about 2am, on Monday, was said to be responsible for the delay in releasing the final results of the Kano State Governorship election.

  1. Pls,those concerned should announce d results,it was one of d reasons why many people have not gone to vote bcus u need 2 see d actual thing on d board,but have 4gotten dat if u go against God will see d results b4 u leave dis world bcus all things here are vanity.
