The All Progressive Congress, APC, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, traded words, over the alleged destruction of campaign banners and posters, across the State.
The two parties accused each other of violation of the Peace Accord, earlier signed by their representatives.
Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofs, the Media Aide of PDP’s Gubernatorial Candidate in the State, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, in a statement which he signed, accused the APC of destroying PDP’s campaign posters and banners.
“We noticed with dismay, the ongoing operation of removing PDP’s posters and banners, in Kano metropolis.
“Some of our supporters were reportedly attacked within the city centre, by thugs who are believed to be sponsored by APC and Kano State Government, in preparation for the Presidential visit today”, he alleged.
Recall, that President Buhari will be holding his campaign rally on Thursday, in Kano.
Dawakin Tofa, urged both the supporters of the PDP and Kwankwasiyya Movement, in Kano, to remain calm, and avoid all places where the APC was visiting .
