Reasons Why star Katherine Langford joins Daniel Craig in thriller Knives Out

Reasons Why star Katherine Langford is in demand these days. Fresh from her casting in the untitled Avengers 4, Langford has joined the all-star ensemble for the next film from director Rian Johnson, who last worked on Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Johnson has also previously directed mystery film Brick, sci-fi film Looper, and some key episodes of iconic television series Breaking Bad.

The new film, Knives Out, is a modern murder-mystery, but other than that plot and character details are rather bare.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Langford has now joined the cast after shooting began, but her character details are being kept secret for now.

James Bond himself Daniel Craig has been cast as the lead role of the film’s detective, but the rest of the characters are enigmas.

The film will also star Oscar-nominated actors Toni Collette and Michael Shannon, along with Oscar-winner Christopher Plummer.

Other stars cast include Captain America star Chris Evans, Blade Runner 2049 actress Ana De Armas, and the iconic Jamie Lee Curtis, fresh from her return to the Halloween franchise.

Johnson will also be heading up a brand new Star Wars trilogy for Disney, with no connection to the Skywalker family that have dominated the previous three trilogies.

Langford herself has previously confirmed that she will not be returning to her breakout role of Hannah Baker in the third season of 13 Reasons Why.
